This weekend it’ll be like Christmas for sausage lovers.
For only one day each year, Robbie’s Gourmet Sausage Co. makes a big batch of Windsor, Ontario’s, most elusive sausage: the Bacon Cheeseburger sausage. This Saturday, July 10, 2021 is that day.
So what exactly is the Bacon Cheeseburger sausage?
The sausage maker makes a big deal about this release each and every year as the only day they bust out that special recipe.
This beauty is a beefy sausage that boasts big bacon, cheddar and dill flavour. Unofficially, it’s the Sausage of Summer so you don’t want to miss your only chance this year to stock up on it. Robbie’s Gourmet Sausage Co. has been working around the clock to make sure that everybody who comes by starting at 9:00am on Saturday will be able to get their hands on the Bacon Cheeseburger sausages.
We recommend you get to the shop early as previous years have seen long lineups form before the doors even open. Robbie’s will make the wait worthwhile as there will be live musical entertainment as you wait. The one and only, Max Marshall will be playing a set from 9:00am to 11:30am to help make your time in line fly by.
Also, if you’re standing in line and they sell out (which they do), rain checks will be given out. Make sure you’re in line though because if you show up after, you’re out of luck.
There are also no limits on how many you can purchase, so stock up the freezer until next year!
