Piccolo’s Pizza & Pasta House has been around for over 30 years making homemade Italian cuisine in ginormous portions. While it’s almost impossible to not pick every dish as a favourite, we did our best to whittle it down to three we think you absolutely need to try.

LINGUINE CON GAMBERETTI

Do you like shrimp? How about pasta? This massive serving up linguine is kicked up a notch with a spicy combination of gulf shrimp, mushrooms, chili garlic, onions and fresh diced tomatoes sautéed in a Calabrese sauce. It’s finished off in the oven to get all its cheesy goodness the perfect golden colour.

DEEP DISH MEAT EATERS PIZZA

We hope you’ve been working out those biceps because lifting just one slice of Piccolo’s deep dish pizzas is a feat of strength. The Meat Eater is topped with layers of mozzarella, Italian sausage, pepperoni, bacon and ham. This behemoth is available in one size only. Also, if you’re dining in and in a hurry this might not be the dish for you as it needs a minimum of 35 minutes cooking time, but soooooo worth the short wait.

CHEESY CHEDDAR CHICKEN

If you love cheesiness overload, this dish is for you. This beauty is a meal within a meal. You’ll be served a mound of capellini baked on top of a fresh fried dough strip covered in a cheesy cheddar sauce with strips of sautéed chicken breast smothered in a blend of three cheeses. Much like the linguine above, it’s finished in the oven where the cheese is melted to perfection.

Maybe it’s just me, but unfolding fried dough makes me feel like I’m opening up a delicious present.
