3 New Things You Need To Eat At The Mexican Village During The 2024 Carrousel of the Nations

WindsorEats is kicking it up a notch for the 2024 edition of the Mexican Village for the award winning Carrousel of the Nations festival in Windsor, Ontario.

The award-winning Carrousel of the Nations is an integral part of the region’s summer festival season. Its vibrant tapestry of villages (mini festivals) throughout the city and surrounding area always highly anticipated each an every year.

There’ll be more live music, more drink options, and more food options! Here are 3 of the new menu items being offered from June 14-16 and June 21-23 at the Mexican Village that we think you absolutely need to try.


TAMALES

How can you celebrate Mexican food without having hot tamales?! If you’ve never had one, tamales are a traditional Mexican dish made with a corn based dough mixture that is filled with beef and sauce wrapped in corn husks.


PALETAS

We’ll be mid-June, so we had to have some refreshing treats to cool you off. Though paletas may look like your regular popsicle, these beauties pack a much larger flavour punch and are made from fresh natural fruits.


DORILOCOS

We’re certain people are going to love this snack that’s popular at food stalls on the streets of Mexico City. doritos, braised beef, pico de gallo, jalapenos, queso.
