Yet another loved Windsor, Ontario, business is closing their doors.

Robbie Bornais, owner of Robbie’s Gourmet Sausage Company, has announced he’ll be closing his doors at the end of December 2022. This comes on the heels of local bake shop Bad Witch Bakery, known for their cheesecakes, announcing they will also close at the end of December.

An absolutely lovely human being who has an incredible skill making nationally recognized sausages, Robbie posted on social media thanking all his loyal customers:

“It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I have to let go and say goodbye to a place that I will cherish forever,” he wrote. “For us, it was always about our customers, with the simple goal of bringing a little whimsy and happiness into their lives. For being able to achieve that, I feel like the luckiest person in the world. I have no regrets, only fond memories to look back on.

To all of those, who have helped carry this dream of ours on their shoulders, thank you. You know who you are, and you are all greatly appreciated.”

Robbie’s Gourmet Sausage Company was voted as one of Windsor’s most iconic foods.

The final day of operation for Robbie’s Gourmet Sausage Company is December 31, 2022. We strongly recommend stocking up your freezers.
