Another Windsor, Ontario, restaurant has announced that they have closed their doors effective immediately.
Located in its namesake neighbourhood, Ford City Coney & Ice have announced they will not be reopening their doors as originally planned after a holiday break.
According to a Facebook post on their page, the owners shut their Ernie & Rusty’s Ice Cream pointing to “increasing costs and mainly because of us missing our summer season due to a behind the scenes roller coaster” as the main reason for closing permanently and that Ford City Coney & Ice will follow suit.
That being said, they gave a hint that it’s not a final goodbye, stating “well kind of”.
Fingers crossed that we see them and their coney dogs again! That being said, if you’re looking to fill a coney dog craving in Ford City, Lunansky’s Coney Island is still open down the road.
