Love is in the air! Whether you’re celebrating Galentine, Palentine or Valentine’s Day today our community has a plethora of exciting events to make this day extra special.

If you’re looking for something outside the norm, here’s a list of just a few local Valentine’s events around Windsor and Essex County that you may not have thought of and will add a sprinkle joy to your day.

BACHATA DANCE

There is no better way to celebrate Valentine’s day, than by dancing with the people that you love! Windsor Salsa and Bachata welcomes you to their Valentines day Salsa Social on February 14th, 2024. Featuring Jorge Carrasco Brito teaching All levels Bachata. Cocktails will be available all night. Music will be a mix of Salsa/Bachata/Kizomba by Windsor Salsa and Bachata. Entry is $10 cash or credit at the door.

A PERFECT PAIRING CHARCUTERIE NIGHT

North 42 Degrees Estate Winery, 130 County Road 50 East, Colchester
7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Head out to North 42 Degrees Estate Winery for an intimate night of wine tasting and charcuterie boards brought to you by That Cheese Place and North 42 Degrees Estate Winery. $125 per couple and includes one board as a meal to share, six  wines (two tasting flights).

ANTI VALENTINE’S DAY SPEED FRIENDING EVENT

Windsor Public Library, Central Branch, 185 Ouellette
6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

This Valentine’s day forget romance and focus on friendship instead. Participants will spend several minutes chatting with each person and then complete a match card to identify those with whom they would like to chat further and become new ‘pals.’ Library staff will provide contact information to those participants who form a match. Participants are encouraged to bring a favourite book as a point of conversation, and the library will provide other conversation starters to ensure the five-minute sessions move along smoothly. At the end of the event, you write down who you want to connect with and Windsor Public Library will only give out information to people who want to connect with each other.
