After more than 30 successful years serving Middle Eastern food to Windsor, Ontario, El Mayor Restaurant & Bakery has announced they are closing their doors.
The family run business stated in a Facebook post that “family comes first”, and they will be retiring to spend more time with theirs.
Many will recall the restaurant suffered a massive fire to their Wyandotte Street East located back in 2019, causing the restaurant to temporarily close for almost a year. They then reopened on Division Road.
There are currently no plans for anyone to reopen the restaurant. The final day of operation is April 30, 2024.
