Robbie’s Gourmet Sausage Co. will be having a hot food pop up (sort of) this weekend at GL Hertiage Brewing Co. in Amherstburg, Ontario.
The brewery is well known for regularly bringing in a rotating selection of food vendors, and this weekend they’re bringing in two Robs for the price of one with Chef Rob Nesbitt and Chef Robbie Bornais.
Rob Nesbitt is no stranger to the Amherstburg area, as the former executive chef behind The Salty Dog, Pepper Cat and Burger 67. You’ll also recognize Robbie Bornais as the award-winning sausage maker behind Robbie’s Gourmet Sausage Co.
In addition to a Reuben on Rye, here are 3 food items from the Robs that you’ll need to get your hands on this weekend.
Fish & Chips
The Robs took the GL Heritage Backshop Brew blonde ale and battered and breaded cod in it before frying it up nice and crispy. Mmmm mmm!
This one is for all the dill pickle lovers. These fries are dusted with Robbie’s secret dill pickle seasoning and drizzled with garlic aioli.
Thai Cauliflower Bites
These vegetarian beauties are tossed in a sweet Thai chili sauce and served on a bed of mixed greens.
