The brand new Fall Beer & Cider Fest is taking place in Windsor, Ontario, on October 14, 2023, and we’ve got everything you need to know about the festival.

Here’s our ultimate guide for enjoying the 2023 Fall Beer & Cider Festival on October 14 at WindsorEats in Windsor, Ontario.

BUY YOUR TICKETS IN ADVANCE

Save yourself the headache and the dollars and buy your ticket in advance online for only $15.

Space is limited. The event is intimate in nature with only a few hundred tickets available, so you don’t want to be on the outside watching through the fencing as your friends are having the time of their lives.

If there happen to be tickets available at the gate, they’re $20 cash each.

WHERE & WHEN TO ENTER THE FESTIVAL

WindsorEats is located at 400 Erie Street East in Windsor, Ontario.

WindsorEats is located at 400 Erie Street East in Windsor, Ontario. Just look for the big lot and building with all the awesome murals on it.

The festival entry point will be on the east side of the building, just up the alleyway.

The doors open at 6pm with the festival running until 11pm. Advance tickets are available at the discounted prices until those gates open. Then we remind you: it’s $20 cash at the gate to enter.

THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS WILL BE COVERED BY A TENT

If you’re worried about rain, we’ve got you covered. Literally! The entire WindsorEats patio will be covered thanks to our friends at Festival Tent, making sure you stay dry while enjoying your beer and cider.

TOKENS TO SAMPLE

All samples of beer and cider at the festival can be purchased using tokens. A token booth will be setup allowing guests to purchase tokens to use at each of the beer and cider booths. Tokens are $1.25 per token.

HERE’S A LIST OF ALL THE BEERS & CIDERS

So, what will we be serving? Here’s a look at all the beers and ciders that will be available.

That’s right! Because we’re hosting at our location, closed beverages can be purchased to take home. So, if you really enjoyed a certain drink at the Fall Beer & Cider Festival, you can head to the bar and buy some to enjoy at home on your way out, just like at a bottle shop!

BE SAFE, RESPONSIBLE & RESPECTABLE

The most important rule of them all is to drink responsibly. To help make the festival a unique and memorable experience, it is located in the midst of a neighbourhood (Erie Street). As a result, there is minimal onsite parking and street parking.

We also remind you that the purpose of coming to this festival is to drink beer and cider, so make plans for alternate transportation. Have a friend drop you off, bring a designated driver, take the bus (it’s on a bus route), take a taxi or Uber, walk, etc. There are so many other, much safer options to get you to and from the festival. At the end of the day we want all our patrons to safely return home to the people who love them…or to their cats.

Finally, remember how we just said that we’re in a neighbourhood? Be mindful of that and respect the residents and businesses surrounding the venue. When exiting the festival and into the neighbourhood, keep in mind you’re steps from peoples homes. Try to keep your noise to a minimum.

Also, remember this is the first Fall Beer & Cider Festival. We hope it’s a smashing success and are always looking to improve in future years.

DRESS FOR THE WEATHER

While the weather looks like sunny days and clear skies for this weekend, please remember that it’s still October. It’s going to be chilly at night and the beer and cider won’t warm you up as much you as think. We’ve gone to outdoor craft beer festivals in the middle of February. Did we wear a light jacket? Heck no! We layered up. Layers are your best friend. Plus, why would you not want to show off your cute new fall fashion?

WE’VE GOT LIVE ENTERTAINMENT

Whoa Nellie! will be hitting the stage all night with a fun and lively performance, showcasing their Americana/Country/New Traditional style.

HERE’S THE LINEUP. PLAN YOUR ATTACK

While we’re still working on getting other breweries and cideries, here’s the current confirmed lineup that will be on site:

It can sometimes get a little intimidating figuring out what you want to taste. Go through the list and make some mental notes. With so many options you’ll want to choose wisely!

ALL SAMPLES ARE 7OZ

Everyone will be given a sampling cup upon entry that is 7oz. Each pour at each booth will be a full cup.

BE SOCIAL! SHARE ON SOCIAL MEDIA

We also mean be social in the literal and digital sense. Pics or it didn’t happen, right? Talk to other festival goers as it is a very friendly, intimate event and encouraged. Use the #WindsorEats hashtag so we can share your photos.

EAT!!!

What’s better than beer and burgers, tacos and cider? The answer is nothing. Absolutely nothing. Rico Taco and chef Anthony Dalupan will be on site cooking for festival goers. They’re super excited to offer some tasty treats that will compliment the beer and cider nicely and fill your bellies with even more goodness.

Please note that no outside food or drink will be permitted on site. That includes those awesome pretzel necklaces.

(HUMAN) ADULTS ONLY PLEASE

No kids, no pets, no yetis. Please don’t arrive to the festival with any of these if you want smooth, easy access into the grounds. Ok, maybe we’ll let you bring the yeti in, but, only if he agrees to sing karaoke on stage. It’d be great for YouTube.

BALANCE IS KEY

Remember to balance your taste buds. Don’t start a tasting session with a beer with an IBU (international bitterness units) of 90 and expect to be able to taste anything other than hops from then on. Start lower and work your way up. Same goes with sweeter ciders. Save those for later. Your taste buds will thank you.

WATER: DRINK IT

Water is what sustains life. Especially at a beer and cider festival. You want to be able to pace yourself and make sure you stay hydrated so you can properly enjoy the special brews available. There’s no shame in drinking water.

BE THE TORTOISE, NOT THE HARE

Slow and steady wins the race. This festival isn’t about drinking as much and as quickly as you can. Please remember, this is a tasting event, not a guzzling event. We encourage you to try many different beers and ciders at the event but we expect you to do so responsibly.
