Day 22 of the this years 30 Days of Local Wine brings us our first (and only) Girls’ Night Out product from Colio Estate Wines. This 2009 Pinot Grigio, with an Ontario VQA designation and a 12% alcohol content, has a light straw colour. It also offers a ripe pear and fresh bread bouquet to go along with a tropical fruit and pear taste.
The GNO Pinot Grigio is recommended to be served at 8° – 10°C and is paired well with lime cilantro chicken, calamari with tzatziki dip, crab-stuffed sole with stone fruit compote.
