Local Summer Menu at Enzo’s Launches
Every year starting June 1, Enzo’s Trattoria puts out a Summer Menu and a House Specialties Menu. The great thing about the Summer Menu is that it uses only local produce grown in Leamington. It’s another great way a local restaurant is supporting local.

Drinks of Walkerville Walking Tour
Another edition of our popular Drinks of Walkerville walking tour takes place on June 1, 2013. Participants will take a tour through the historic Canadian Club Heritage Brand Centre, learning all about the history of Hiram Walker and the beginnings of the world famous whiskey maker. After a few samples Canadian Club, we stroll through town that Hiram built, learning about other historic architecture and folklore before stopping for a tour and sampling of some brews at Walkerville Brewery. We then make our way to The Willistead to continue the sampling.

WindsorEats Presents a Cooking Demo at the Downtown Windsor Farmers Market
Visit the Downtown Windsor Farmers Market on June 1 for the first in a series of cooking demos presented by WindsorEats. On the first Saturday of each month, a local chef will be creating a dish live on site using products from the market exclusively.
The chef for June 1 will be David Dimoglou of The Willistead. The one hour demo will start at 11:00am.
Futures Vintage Tasting at Colio Estate Winery
June 1 is a busy day! Visit Colio Estate Winery in Harrow for their Futures Vintage Tasting. Join Colio’s host and winemaker, Lawrence Buhler, and experience an exclusive hour long tasting featuring their most anticipated aromatic whites from the 2012 vintage, which are taken directly from the tank.
Be the first to taste these future white wines before they are released to the general public for sale in the Colio stores or in the LCBO. Tasting Sessions Available at: 12:30pm, 2:00pm and 3:30pm for a maximum 20 people per tour. Cost is $10 per person.

Girls’ Night Out – Belly Dance Diva
It’s another Girls’ Night Out on Friday, June 7, 2013! Colio Estate Winery is proud to present their latest Girls’ Night Out event, “Become a Belly Dance Diva”. Grab a friend and head out for a fun evening of wine, dance, nibbles and shopping! As well there’s a chance to win door prizes. Wine will be available for purchase by the glass.
Never done belly dancing? That’s ok! This is a women only event (sorry guys). A friendly instructor will guide you through some basic moves and simple choreography and she will provide everyone with a hip scarf (they look good on everyone). No need to feel self-conscious (especially after some wine and laughter)!
The event is from 7:00pm to 10:00pm $23 per person in advance or $25 at the door (limited-please call ahead to see if any spaces are available).
The evening will start with a sparkling reception at 7:00pm, followed by a guided tour of the winery. After the tour it’s time for wine tasting and nibbles. Then you’ll strap on your hip scarves, break into groups and learn to belly dance. You will then test your memory with some pop culture trivia for a chance to win prizes.
Carrousel by the River
Visit the Windsor Riverfront Plaza from June 7-9, 2013 for the Carrousel by the River. The opening ceremonies for take place at the main Festival Stage at 6:30 p.m. on June 7 to kick off “Windsor Night” featuring the most exciting, up – and – coming bands in and around the Windsor area. It is sure to be a high energy, all night party. Complete with ethnic cuisine from across the globe, it’s the precursor to the Carrousel of Nations later in June.

Bikes & Beers Cycling Tour
Like beer? Than you’ll love our Bikes & Beers Cycling Tour on June 8, 2013. Cycle through Windsor sampling beers at local pubs and breweries. We’ll be visiting Walkerville Brewery for some of their great brews, Motor Burger for their in-house nano brewery, Motor Craft Ales, and Rock Bottom to sample some of their 30 beers on tap.

You Gotta Eat Here! Films Jack’s Gastropub
John Catucci and his ‘You Gotta Eat Here!” gang are heading back to Windsor-Essex to film Jack’s Gastropub on June 13 and 14, 2013. Details are not 100% confirmed, so stay tuned to WindsorEats and we’ll let you know which of the two days (if not both) are open to the public.

This June 24, 2013, join Windsor River Cruises for the annual Summerfest Target Fireworks where you’ll enjoy a dinner buffet and spectacular view of one of the largest fireworks displays in North America. Tickets are $112.95 including taxes. The ship departs Lakeview Marina.

Take a walk through history. Considered one of the oldest, most historically significant settlements in Ontario, Old Sandwich Town, is home to some of Ontario’s oldest and most important buildings.
