A BURGER MADE WITH CHEETOS

Smokies BBQ on Ottawa Street in Windsor has launched a new menu and have included some burgers to their offerings. One that immediately caught our eye was their Cheeto’s Spicy Chicken Burger With Mac N’ Cheese. Really, I don’t think we need to describe it any further.

 

2 NEW BEERS FROM FRANK

Last week, Frank Brewing Co. launched two new beers. If you haven’t had them yet, in addition to the brewery, they’re available at the Outdoor Food Hall in Lanspeary Park this weekend.

The Big Foot Amber Ale is made with with Ontario Sasquatch hops. Wildly tasty, this unfiltered beer carries hints of caramel toffee and notes of citrus.

Day Tripper Wet Hop IPA is crafted with over 95lbs of fresh local hops. It carries intense grassy hop flavour and aroma and a 6.4% ABV.

Also at the Outdoor Food Hall, BZB Test Kitchen is serving up some fall flavours with their Apple Streusel Fried Cheesecake. If those words alone didn’t convince you to get some, it’s drizzled with a salted caramel butterscotch sauce.

 

THE TH BURGER IS CALLING YOU

The TH Burger at the Thompson House was named one of our must-try burgers of 2020 in Windsor-Essex. The patty is made fresh in-house and then covered in melted cheddar cheese and loaded with beer braised beef and topped with a crisp fried potato.

 

A NEW BEER FOR A NEW BOSS

Chapter Two Brewing launched a brand new beer to celebrate the introduction of a new partner in the business. The Boss’s Brew Ginger Rye Pale is a refreshing fall brew that will tickle your taste buds with delight.

Jack’s in Kingsville recently released a brand new menu with some beauty dishes on them, including the Lobster & Shrimp Scampi Mac. It’s garlic butter poached lobster and shrimp in a huge bowl of mac and cheese, covered in a garlic-parsley bread crumb.

 

YES. THE BIRRIA TACOS ARE BACK

We get asked every week, so we’re saying it again: yes, Rico Taco will be back at the Outdoor Food Hall this weekend. Yes, they are serving their birria tacos.

In case you’ve been missing out, birria tacos are a traditionally sweet, sour and a pinch spicy Mexican beef stew that’s slow cooked until the beef is tender and placed inside a corn tortilla. It’s oh-so juicy and delicious. You then cook the tacos in the broth of the stew and are also given a bowl of the broth to dip the tacos into. Order and watch yourself become addicted to the flavours.
