Boy, winter escalated quickly. So, let’s pretend it’s summer for one last weekend.

WindsorEats’ Tacos & Tequila themed week is taking place this week from November 17-20, 2022. Each vendor will be serving their take on tacos, giving you some uniquely tasty food to enjoy.

Located at 400 Erie St. E., you can rest assured out indoor dining will be nice and warm. With that being said, here’s a look at what our vendors will be cooking up this week.

RICO TACO

BIRRIA TACOS

What are Birria Tacos, you ask? It’s a traditionally sweet, sour and a pinch spicy Mexican beef stew that’s slow cooked until the beef is tender and placed inside a corn tortilla. It’s oh-so juicy and delicious. You then dip the tacos in the broth of the stew and watch yourself become addicted to the flavours.

FISH TACOS

These are some pretty unreal fish tacos, made with basa, topped with pico de gallo, red cabbage, house made chipotle sauce, all inside a flour tortilla.

CARNE ASADA TACOS

Grilled carne asada served on corcn tortillas, topped with onions, cilantro, guacamole crema and salsa on the side.

AL PASTOR TACOS

Al pastor is crisp-thin shavings of spit-roasted pork, marinated with guajillo chiles with many more spices and served on corn tortillas, topped with onions cilantro, slice of pineapple and guacamole crema and salsa at the side.

WINDSOREATS TEST KITCHEN

BUTTER CHICKEN TACOS

Yep!  A beautiful Indo-Mexican fusion that our Chef Adrian worked hard to perfect. Enjoy a naan shell that’s stuffed with traditional butter chicken and topped with diced tomatoes and a cilantro raita. Absolutely delicious!

KOREAN BULGOGI

If you couldn’t tell, we left the traditional Mexican tacos to Rico Taco to handle. These Korean Bulgogi Tacos are ridiculously tasty and loaded with beef bulgogi, topped with a refreshing Asian pear and pineapple slaw and kimchi. It’s then drizzled with a silky, cool Gochujang sauce.

ICE CREAM TACO

It’s never too cold for ice cream. We’ve prepared house-made pizzelle shells that are dipped in chocolate, filled with ice cream, and then drizzled with more chocolate and sprinkles.

LA VEGAN BOUFFERIE (Sat. & Sun. Only)

BEEFYLESS QUESABIRRIA

Enjoy shredded seitan beef with creamy cashew cheese on corn tortillas dipped in a flavourful consume.

BAJA PHISH TACOS

Spicy lime mayo, crispy pickled cabbage, peach salsa and non alcoholic beer battered “phish” in a corn tortilla.

TANDOORI TACOS

Tandoori flavoured “chicken” drizzled with a coconut coriander sauce and topped with pickled onions.

POW WOW TACOS

Not your regular taco, this is a vegan take on a traditional indigenous dish. Frybread, topped with chilli, guac and vegan sour cream.

As always, we’ll also be serving up some tequila cocktails like our margaritas to help complete the evening. We have so many margarita recipes (20+) that we encourage you to grab a flight of margaritas so you can sample multiple.
