Whoever says there’s nothing to do in Windsor-Essex, Ontario, hasn’t been paying attention. 5 local businesses have been named finalists for eleven 2021 Ontario Tourism Resiliency Awards.

The Tourism Industry Association of Ontario announced the finalists for their annual awards and Windsor-Essex is well represented.

We’re so proud to announce that WindsorEats is a finalist in five categories along with our friends at Phog Lounge and Meteor Lounge who are finalists in three. Iron Kettle Bed & Breakfast in Comber has been given a nod in two categories, while The Grove Hotel and the Town of Amherstburg are each a finalist in one category.

We imagine there will be some good ol’ fashion ribbing when the winner is announce for the Innovation Awards category of Food Service, where WindsorEats and Phog Lounge have taken two of the three spots.

The Collaboration Award that WindsorEats is nominated for is for the Outdoor Food Hall and Night Markets. The next Night Market takes place October 15 with a Wings & Whisky theme.
