Two Windsor-Essex wineries are bringing home a massive haul of medals from the 2020 Great American International Wine Competition, with one absolutely cleaning house.
Paglione Estate Winery took home 3 medals from the competition, but it was North 42 Degrees Estate Winery that everyone was talking about after taking home 9 medals including Best in Show.
North 42’s 2019 Gewurztraminer took home the best in show while their Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc also received a Platinum medal. The Harrow, Ontario, winery’s Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon Rose, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve and Pinot Noir took home gold medals.
The Pinot Grigio from Paglione Estate Winery also took home a gold medal.
This year, the competition saw over 900 entries submitted with 24 respected judges from around the world deciding the winners.
