WINE TRAIL RIDE

There aren’t many activities that you’re actually able to go out and do right now, which makes going on a Wine Trail Ride that much more exciting and fun than it already is. You’ll taste at least 14 different wines and have a progressive feast along the way as you visit local wineries on a leisurely roll through the countryside. Plus, just look at the pure joy on the faces in the photo above. Don’t you want that to be you?

GO FOR A BIKE RIDE

Speaking of bikes, people are rediscovering theirs so much there’s a global bicycle shortage. If a guided tour like the Wine Trail Ride isn’t your thing, saddle up and explore some of the amazing trails that are around the region on your own.

GO TO THE BEACH

Make it a throwback summer and head to the beach with the family. We love the beaches at Point Pelee National Park, especially the Northwest Beach where you can relax on your towel, soaking up the sun with a mocktail in one hand and a good book in another.

Colchester Harbour has recently reopened as well. While there you can also enjoy a meal at The Wreck and some ice cream at the newly opened Coolchester Creamery.

EXPLORE THE BEAUTY OF POINT PELEE

Speaking of Point Pelee, go to Point Pelee! Get reacquainted with nature, take a walk on the boardwalk or go be the most southern person on mainland Canada by standing at the tip. There are trails to wander and, since it’s Canada’s most ecologically diverse national park, plenty of nature to see. Bicycle rentals are also available to make use of their trails.

We recommend reading the 10 things we love to see and do at Point Pelee National Park to get you inspired.

HEAD TO A FARMERS MARKET

Spending a morning at a farmers market always gives us a real sense of accomplishment and makes us feel good about supporting our community. On Saturdays, head to the Downtown Windsor Farmers Market to get some locally grown produce, fresh baked bread and even locally roasted coffees.

Also on Saturdays, you can make a little adventure out of it by heading to the Amherstburg Farmers Market at GL Heritage Brewing Company. Who knows, you just may stay for a pint.

SIT AT A BIERGARTEN

For those of you who were missing having a pint at Walkerville Brewery, they’re launching their Biergarten this weekend. They’ve got some rules in place to ensure everyone’s safety so be sure to read up.

With all these activities we ask that you please practice social distancing of 6ft from those not within your social bubbles.
