The dates for the 2020 editions of the Whiskytown Festival and the Urban Wine Festival in Windsor, Ontario have been set.

In its second year, the Urban Wine Festival will take place on Saturday, July 25 at Lanspeary Park. The festival is a more urban slant on wine drinking, with a wide variety of local and international wines available. The inaugural last year Urban Wine Festival saw wine booths assorted by varietal (ie. a Merlot booth, a Chardonnay booth, etc.) with a variety of different selections of each varietal.

The wine fest also includes interactive art throughout the site, as well as some incredible entertainment. 2019 saw Detroit sensation, Apropos, take the stage.

For whisky lovers, the third edition of the Whiskytown Festival will take place on August 8 at St. Mary’s Church in the historic neighbourhood of Walkerville. The festival showcases a wide variety of whiskies for festival goers to purchase samples, as well as a large contingent of brand ambassadors to learn from.

The festival, which helps promote the Windsor, Ontario, region as Whiskytown Canada, is expecting big growth this year. Last year saw attendees rave about the whisky selection from JP Wiser’s Seasoned Oak to the Bruichladdich Black Art 6.1 that was available for sample.

Tickets for both the wine and whisky festivals are now available for purchase in the WindsorEats shop and would make a great gift for wine and whisky lovers.
