For one day each year, the city’s most elusive sausage makes a return. That day is this Saturday.
This Saturday, June 22, 2019, Robbie’s Gourmet Sausage Company is hosting their annual Bacon Cheeseburger Sausage Day. It’s the only day per year that he sells, you guessed it, his Bacon Cheeseburger sausage.
If you’ve never had it before, you’re missing out. The Bacon Cheeseburger is a beefy sausage that boasts big bacon, cheddar and dill flavour. This is unofficially the Sausage of Summer. Don’t miss your only chance this year to stock up on it as it’ll only be available again next Canada Day weekend.
We recommend you get to the shop early as previous years have seen long lineups form before the doors even open. Robbie’s will make the wait worthwhile as there will be lots of swag given away including free Windsor Ice Pops from Riverside Pie Cafe to the first 50 people in line. There will also be free cupcakes from Klueless Cupcakes as well as gift cards from Little Foot Foods, Blak’s Bakery, Atmosphere Fine Foods and more.
Also, if you’re standing in line and they sell out (which they do), rain checks will be given out. Make sure you’re in line though because if you show up after, you’re out of luck.
This year, Robbie’s has also removed any limits on how many you can purchase, so stock up the freezer until next year!
