It’s finally May and with it comes Cinco de Mayo. If you’re looking for a place to grab that margarita or fill your belly with Latin eats…well look no further. We’ve got you covered! Here are eight places you need to check out this weekend to get into that fiesta mood.

 

MILL ST. NIGHT MARKET

Mill Street in Leamington has been going through a revitalization and will be the location for the new night markets. They’ll be held once monthly from May through November and this Friday kicks off the first Mill St. Night Market. WindsorEats will be serving margaritas in our Traveller as well as our popular elotes from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

GL HERITAGE BREWING

GL Heritage Brewing is celebrating all weekend long. They’re serving up cheladas – a delightful and refreshing concoction with Back Shop Brew Blonde Ale and frozen margarita and have themed menus to go along with it.

This Friday they will also be launching a new seasonal pale ale: Cajen Pale Ale

 

EL COMAL

VEGAN CINCO DE MAYO AT THYME KITCHEN

Head over to Thyme Kitchen for their Vegan Cinco de Mayo celebration. From 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. they will have a vegan buffet with tacos and drink specials.

 

BREAD MEATS BREAD

Bread Meats Bread is celebrating Cinco de Mayo the best way they know how: with an epic sandwich. Starting today you can grab their El Chapo sandwich:  ancho roasted chicken, roasted corn salsa, queso fresco, and avocado crema.

 

FOODIE POP UP AT WALKERVILLE BREWERY

On May 5 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Walkerville Brewery is hosting a Cinco de Mayo themed Foodie Pop-Up.

They will also be releasing 2 different themed casks: Blood Orange IPA and Habanero Guava Cider.

 

TOASTYS

Toasty’s Grilled Cheese Taco Supreme Grilled Cheese is back! It’s loaded with seasoned ground beef, tomato, red onion, jalapeño, cheddar cheese and fresh guacamole. It’s basically a fiesta in a sandwich.

 

MI CASITA

You know you can count on Restaurante Mi Casita to serve up amazing pupusas, chile rellenos, carne asada and just bringing you all the latin flavour you’ll need this weekend. They’ll have drink specials all weekend and on Saturday they are celebrating with their Latin Cinco Fiesta with a DJ spinning Latin beats.
