For all you lovebirds out there, do you know what you’re doing for Valentine’s Day?
We’re so lucky here in Windsor-Essex with the large amount of great food and drink options that sometimes it’s hard to choose just one place. Other times, procrastination gets the best of you and you’re scrambling to not get the silent treatment.

We’ve compiled some options for you to choose from to make sure your Valentine’s Day goes off without a hitch.
Blackjack’s Gastrovan
Staying in? It doesn’t mean you can’t have a romantic dinner for two.
Picture it now. A large black food truck shows up at your house on Valentine’s Day with dinner all prepped and ready to go! If you wan’t some bonus points, and wan’t to stay out of the dog house, this is how you do it!
The BlackJack Gastropvan Valentine’s Dinner for two includes:
- Cinnamon & Espresso-rubbed Pork Tenderloin with a Sour Cherry Chutney
- Three Potato Strata with white, sweet and purple potato baked with a 3-cheese béchamel.
- Green Bean with Amaretto and shaved almonds
- Mixed Green Salad with goat cheese, red onion, pomegranate, grapefruit and a fig-balsamic vinaigrette
- Peach Melba baked brie with baguette
- Chocolate-Strawberry Mason jar cheesecake
- Complete with romantic candle and roses, delivered to your front door on February 14, 2015 between 12pm-2pm.
You can call Blackjack’s at 519.733.6900 and place your order or do it online. They’ll require a credit card at the time of booking. Cost is $110 plus tax. Deadline for orders is Monday, February 9, 2015.
Williams Food Equipment
If you’re more of a hands-on person, Williams Food Equipment will teach you how to make your dinner.
On February 11, 2015, join Chef Glenn van Blommestein as he guides you through recipes which you can then take home and make for your better half.
Cost is $60. Spots must be booked in advance.
K&T Specialty Foods
If you’re more into just bringing some sweets home, K&T Specialty Foods is offering a $25 package which includes assorted treats including muffins, cupcakes, cookies, chocolates and a card and single rose.
They also have $35 and $50 offerings which include meals like pizza or ravioli and gnocchi.
Iron Kettle Bed & Breakfast
It’s a historic, beautiful building and they want you to come stay the night. Iron Kettle Bed & Breakfast are accepting reservations for stay and dinner packages for Friday, February 13 and Saturday, February 14 nights as well as just dinner for Friday and Saturday. It doesn’t have to be just couples, you can also reserve for a group! Chef Ben Leblanc-Beaudoin will be serving a 3 course meal that is sure to delight.
The Dinner & Stay package is $200 per couple and the Dinner Package is $90 per couple.
The City Grill
On February 12, 2015, dine at The City Grill and enjoy an a la carte Valentine’ Day menu and the beautiful voice of Crissi Cochrane.
February 13 and 14, the restaurant will be offering a $60 prix-fixe four course Valentine’s Day menu.
If you’re looking to celebrate your love all weekend long, TCG will also be hosting a Valentine’s Day Brunch on February 15 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.

Tiki Sushi
Superstar chef, Ted Dimoglou is serving up a 5-course meal on Valentine’s Day at Tiki Sushi.
For $50 per person, guests will enjoy:
- a shrimp bisque or mushroom soup
- sashimi salad for two
- Miami and summer rolls
- Miso baked halibut with braised greens and butter maple turnip puree or 5 spice pulled duck with mashed taro root and wasabi pepper sauce
- Sesame creme brulee or coconut gelato
Reservations are required and seating is limited.
Enzo’s Trattoria
Enzo’s Trattoria is offering a $40 four course meal for Valentine’s Day. Some of the choices include Enzo’s popular Arrancini and new dishes such as Pollo Palomini which is chicken breast sauteed in a light blush sauce with spinach and roasted red peppers.

Aleksander Estate Winery
Want to sip on some fine local wine during dinner? Aleksander Estate Winery is hosting a 5-course meal paired with local wine and live entertainment.
Courses include items such as a cheese fondue started and choice of salmon fillets or bacon wraped Filet Mignon for the main. Click here to view the full menu.
The dinner takes place on February 14, 2015 at 6:30pm. Cost is $75 per person.
Mezzo Ristorante & Lounge is offering two sweetheart deals for hungry lovers. The first three course meal at $45 per person offers up dishes like gnocchi and veal saltimbocca while the second three course meal at $65 per person offers lobster penne and beef tenderloin.

Caesars Windsor
There’s so many culinary options to choose from inside Caesars Windsor. The Artist Cafe is offering a three course meal that includes Shropshire Tenderloin for two, while Neros Steakhouse, which recently launched a new menu, is offering dishes such as Pacific Oysters and Smoked Salmon with Capers or Grilled Chateau of Beef.
If you have a big appetite and want a bit of everything, Market Buffet will have some special offerings such as cocoa chipotle marinated leg of lamb, coffee crusted striploin and more in addition to all the regular Market Buffet favourites. Gourmet Emporium
The Gourmet Emporium will be hosting a Valentine’s Masquerade Ball. Entry is $10 at the door or $5 in advance. Entry will not be permitted if you do not wear a mask. The event takes place from 9:00pm to 2:00am.
Primo Pizza
Looking for a heart shaped pizza? Primo Pizza will be offering these pizzas made with love for Valentine’s Day.
Join Terra Cotta for a Valentine’s Day special on February 13 and 14, 2015. Enjoy a Nero Salad for two, your choice of any Pizza Elegante, 1/2 litre of your house wine and homemade tiramisu, all for just $30. Reservations are recommended.
Sweet Revenge Bake Shop
What says love more than chocolate? Sweet Revenge Bake Shop is offering chocolate dipped strawberry bouquets as a special Valentine’s treat. Also, all their desserts will be Valentine’s themed, including macarons and cupcakes!
Billy’s Pub & Grill
Head out to Essex and visit Billy’s Pub and Grill on February 13 or 14, 2015 for their Valentine’s meal. The special menu will consist of:
- Appetizer: Basil Pesto Bruschetta with a toasted crostini, Parmesan cheese and a honey balsamic reduction
- Main: Stuffed Bone-In, Skin On Chicken Breast stuffed with a herbed roasted red pepper goat cheese served with rosemary roasted potatoes and garlic Parmesan asparagus
- Dessert: Sweet chocolate mousse topped with a bruleed puff pastry heart, whipped cream and fresh raspberries
Oxley Estate Winery
Fresh off a very successful Winter Bites Restaurant Week, Oxley Estate Winery is hosting a special evening at the winery for those in love or just those loving great food. Menu choices consist of items such as Coconut Hazelnut Shrimp and Brandy Dijon Petit Filet. Click here for the full menu.

They were an unknown gem before Winter Bites Restaurant Week placed them on everyone’s radar and now they have a great Valentine’s Day menu to offer. Tropical Hut is offering dinner for two for only $30 plus tax. Click here to view the menu.
Marco’s Pizzeria & Italian Eatery
Two can dine for $32.99 with the Marco’s Pizzeria & Italian Eatery Valentines Day special. Guests will receive a choice of calamari or arancini for an appetizer, two salads (Caesars or house) and two entrees. Entree choices include Tortellini Marco, Chicken Scallopini or salmon.
Mi Casita
Wine, dine and day throughout Valentine’s weekend at Mi Casita. The latin restaurant is offering a 3 course meal in their newly renovated building and a romantic Bachata theme weekend that makes it a great place to enjoy your Valentine’s Day. Cost is $45 per couple.
Latin dancing will begin at 10:00pm Saturday night.
Rock Bottom Bar & Grill
