With our Wine Trail Rides quickly approaching (the first ride is on May 21, 2011) and tickets already selling, we thought it would be a great idea to showcase why the rides are so amazing.

Remember, if you can’t make it on one of the set dates or would like something more private, personal and corporate rides can also be booked.

1. It’s a “Bridal Party” Party!

Don’t want to give your bridal party the same old, boring gifts for standing up in your wedding? Book a Wine Trail Ride for all of them! Entrench in their brains how fantastic a bride and groom you really are by taking the entire crew out for an afternoon of wine, food and fun!

2. “So, you from around here?”

No, we’re not making advances on you. We are constantly hosting people that are visiting us from outside the region and are always looking for fun and unique ways to show them a good time and how great the place we call home really is. The Wine Trail Rides are a great way for you to do the same with your out-of-town guests.

3. Celebrate Family

Sometimes the same old family reunion, year after year, can get a little bland and make you dread having to pretend to enjoy eating Aunt Josie’s potato salad. Well, shake the idea of a family reunion right down to its foundation by bringing everyone out together on a Wine Trail Ride! After all, if you need to avoid Aunt Josie, just pedal a little faster.

4. Bonding with Co-workers

There are two ways you can look at the benefits of this one: from the employee perspective and also from the employer.

From the employee: believe it or not, there are actually other people that are living and breathing outside of your cubicle at work. Odds are they hate being there as much as you do so they don’t put up much of an effort to “make friends”.

From the employer: no matter how you look at it, happy employees are productive employees. They’re also a lot more willing to spread good cheer.

Now, put these two issues together and our Wine Trail Rides can solve them both at once! Booking a corporate Wine Trail Ride with WindsorEats is a perfect way to create a better environment at your workplace and reward your workers for the hard work they’ve done by showing them how much it is appreciated.

5. Experience the Region

Are you visiting, new to or just don’t know much about Windsor-Essex? The Wine Trail Rides are a perfect interactive learning session. While Reason #2 focuses on those from out of town, there are many residents who don’t even know what’s in their backyard. Get out, get active and get to know your region, all while having a great time doing it.

6. A Birthday Party on Two Wheels

Spend your birthday sampling award winning wines with friends. Even better, during each stop, load the WindsorEats support vehicle with all your wine purchases so you can continue the celebration when you get back home. We’ve hosted many groups of friends celebrating birthdays on our rides and they’ve all left with great memories.

7. Stocking up Your Local Wine Reserves

The amount of awards from the wineries we visit are countless (I don’t have that many fingers and toes), yet you can’t purchase most of them at any LCBO store or any other place for that matter. The Wine Trail Ride is a fun way to sample wines and replenish your stock at home by purchasing bottles or cases (I think big). And, there is no need to worry about lugging all those bottles around as the WindsorEats support vehicle will carry all your purchases for you until the Wine Trail Ride is complete.

8. A Perfect Date

Aww. How romantic! Show that special someone just how cool you are by bringing them out on a special date on our Wine Trail Ride. What would make the date even better is renting one of our tandem bikes, which brings us to the next reason…

Pure enjoyment on the tandem bicycle. The Wine Trail Ride has tandems available for rent.

9. Two Words: Tandem Bike

Two people. One bike. A wine tour full of awesomeness.

10. We’ve got Bling

The Wine Trail Rides are amazing and we’ve got the hardware to prove it. In 2009, they were the recipient of the Ontario Culinary Tourism Experience award for the best culinary tourism experience in Ontario. Then to top that, we pulled in the Innovator of the Year award in 2010 from the Tourism Industry Association of Canada and their National Awards for Tourism Excellence. Yup, that’s right. These Wine Trail Rides are a national award winner!
