This upcoming week will be an absolutely crazy one for WindsorEats!

So many events are taking place, including 3 WindsorEats events, that I am considering cloning myself so I can attend them all!

Here is a rundown of the events:

Thursday, April 16, 2009 – Flick and a Feast – The Class
WindsorEats.com and the Windsor International Film Festival have partnered to bring a really fantastic deal to movie lovers and diners.

On Thursday, April 16 WindsorEats.com and WIFF are offering our second installment of Flick and a Feast. This month’s screening by the Windsor International Film Festival is The Class.

Flick and a Feast package includes a ticket to a film screening and dinner at a participating restaurant for only $35 per person. Flick and a Feast packages can only be purchased through WindsorEats.com’s newly launched online shop.

Here is a look at the menus for the Flick and a Feast packages:

The film begins at 7:00pm and is part of the monthly screenings held at the Art Gallery of Windsor by the Windsor International Film Festival.

Last month’s screening of Waltz with Bashir was a huge success! For the first time, WIFF sold out for a screening and added a second to accommodate the demand!

Saturday, April 18, 2009 – WindsorEats Cleans the City
Just a reminder we’re still looking for volunteers for our clean up on Saturday, April 18th.

Spring has sprung and has uncovered a bit of a mess in our community. So we decided to do our part and organize a clean up. WindsorEats will provide all the equipment needed. All we need is your help.

If you are interested in volunteering your time for the day, email me at pina@windsoreats.com

We’re working with the Clean City Committee and once all the details have been sorted out we’ll send you an update on the time and location.

Know of an area in your neighbourhood that needs a cleanup? Let me know that too.

Let’s keep our community clean!

Saturday, April 18, 2009 – John Edward’s Polaroid Imagery
19-year-old Jon Edwards is an emerging Windsor artist who uses Polaroid cameras as a preferred medium. He has developed (no pun intended) a unique layering technique that makes his work compelling and highly unusual.

The Biennial’s opening reception attracts hundreds of people from the border cities region. You won’t want to miss this event! Enjoy live jazz music by The Scattered Trio, cash bar, refreshments, tours, studio projects for the family and artists’ talks all for only $7 admission. Kids are welcome and those under 12 get in free.

Saturday, April 18, 2009 – Mezzo Ristorante & the Windsor Symphony Orchestra
Mezzo Ristorante and the Windsor Symphony Orchestra present a special opportunity for anyone attending a Saturday evening Pops or Masterworks performance.

Mezzo has put together a special dinner and concert package – with one phone call your evening is complete. Make your reservations at Mezzo and you will also receive best available concert tickets at the same discounted price our subscribers receive.

Already have your tickets? Not a problem, you can still participate in the dinner portion of this special package. Contact Mezzo at 519-252-4055 for reservations and details.
