In the next few weeks, WindsorEats has a lot of events taking place that are promoting local restaurants, events, farmers and more. Here is a quick look at some of them:
WindsorEats presents: Mezzo Wine Club
WindsorEats.com, in partnership with Mezzo Ristorante & Lounge, has revived the Mezzo Wine Club.
Each month, WindsorEats.com and Mezzo Ristorante & Lounge, located at 804 Erie Street East in the heart of Windsor’s Via Italia, will host a Wine Club evening which will feature several wine tastings from a local winery, fabulous Mezzo recipes and information on wine pairings. A guest host will also lead the group and to educate guests on a fascinating variety of topics from how to cleanse your palettes between tastes to pinpointing flavours and aromas infused during the wine making process.
It is a great, inexpensive way to get out of the house and enjoy the company or friends and strangers alike.
The first of the revived Mezzo Wine Club sessions will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 7:00 pm. Additional dates for the Mezzo Wine Club are April 15 and May 13, 2009. Tickets are $25 each or only $70 for all three.
Flick and a Feast: Waltz with Bashir
WindsorEats.com, in partnership with the Windsor International Film Festival, is proud to offer a time honoured tradition: Dinner and a movie. Or as we at WindsorEats like to call it, a Flick and a Feast.
The Windsor International Film Festival features regular 7:00 p.m. screenings at the Art Gallery of Windsor. Beginning March 26, 2009, with a screening of Waltz with Bashir, you can purchase the Flick and a Feast package which includes a ticket to the film and dinner at a participating restaurant for only $35 per person. Flick and a Feast packages can only be purchased through WindsorEats.com’s newly launched online shop.
This is a great opportunity to enjoy a fantastic evening all while supporting a local restaurant, a local event and the local economy.

On April 1, 2009, WindsorEats.com, in partnership with Three…A Tasting Bar, will present our first 100km dinner.
For only $35 (or $50 with a local wine tasting), you can enjoy the bounty of only Essex County grown items crafted into a delicious 5-course meal by Three’s Chef. The menu has been released and it looks delicious!
