The Free For All Walls Mural Festival is about to take place in Windsor, Ontario, and we’ve got all the details for you.

Free For All Walls is a unique platform that brings together artists from around the world to transform the city’s walls into stunning works of art and who will collectively breathe life into the urban canvas of Windsor.

Here are all the details you need to know to enjoy the festival.


What Exactly Is Free For All Walls?

Free For All Walls (F4AW) is a huge public art project transforming urban spaces with large-scale murals across the city.

Local artist, Denial, has invited 60+ mural artists from around the world will be descending onto Windsor and simultaneously transforming the urban canvas with massive pieces of artwork within a one week span.


When Does It Take Place?

The festival as a whole will take place October 3-10, 2023, however, the majority of the art and festivities will begin on October 5.

The festival culminates with a big Part Art Part Party celebration from 2pm to midnight on Saturday, October 7, 2023.


Where Is It Being Held?

WindsorEats is located at 400 Erie Street East in Windsor, Ontario.

The headquarters of the festival will be at WindsorEats, located at 400 Erie Street East in Windsor, Ontario. Not only has the wall on the patio been transformed by Enjoy Denial, but most of the walls on the entire block surrounding WindsorEats will also be painted.

WindsorEats will be open extended hours so guests can walk around the neighbourhood, take in the artwork being created, and stop in for some food and drink. WindsorEats’ hours for the festival will be:

  • Tuesday, October 3: 5pm to 9pm
  • Wednesday, October 4: 5pm to 9pm
  • Thursday, October 5: 5pm to 9pm
  • Friday, October 6: 5pm to 11pm
  • Saturday, October 7: 2pm to 12am
  • Sunday, October 8: 2pm to 8pm

WindsorEats will also play host to the big Part Art Part Party celebration on Saturday, October 7 (more in that in a moment).

DJ xxXero Hits Up WindsorEats On The Friday

As part of the celebrations, WindsorEats will have xxXero working his magic on the patio from 6pm to 11pm.

xxXero will be mixing disco, house, funk and hop hop while you’re enjoying our margarita flights and tacos from Rico Taco before or after taking in all the artwork in progress in the neighbourhood.

That’s right! On Saturday, October 7, Enjoy Denial will host one of his popular Part Art Part Party events as the large culmination of the weeklong festival beginning at 2pm and running until midnight.

There will be DJs starting at 5pm along with live mural and art painting. There will also be an outdoor art exhibit by Enjoy Denial along with an art exhibit inside WindsorEats featuring many of the festivals participating artists.

At 830pm, watch a live art battle take place as artists Team Golden take on Ghostbeard and Patch Whisky.

Then finish off the night with DJ Justin James and special guests, Vertika Studio, putting on an aerial performance.

Hop On A Graffiti Scooter Tour

As part of the festival, you can also book a Windsor Graffiti Scooter Tour from Thursday to Sunday. But hurry, because tickets have been selling fast!

Zip around Windsor on an official Bird Canada electric scooter, rolling through streets and alleys to see the many visually stunning ways artists, both local and internationally renowned, have used the urban landscape as their canvas.

This tour will take you to some of Windsor’s best photo spots and ensure you get the perfect pic. It’s a great way to explore the city for both tourists and locals alike and you’ll be able to leave with great shots that will give all your friends FOMO.

The 12 kilometre route takes you to see well over 30 murals and takes you through one of the city’s most fabled alleys, highlighting a side of Windsor many may have never seen before.
