Everybody loves margaritas! Thankfully, the Windsor, Ontario, region is filled with fantastic restaurants and bars that serve spot on versions of the cocktail.

From flights to mini pitchers to just a classic glass, here are some of our favourite spots to imbibe in one of Mexico’s most famous exports.

We can’t start off our list without listing our own cocktails made behind our bar on Erie Street which our guests absolutely rave about. Our menu is constantly rotating through our over 20 (and growing) different margarita recipes.

In addition to the classic margarita, you can also find versions like our popular Strawberry Shortcake margarita and The Margaret, margaritas Canadian cousin made with Lot 40 Canadian whisky instead of tequila.

Oh, did we mention you can get a flight of 4 different margaritas? And that Rico Taco’s food truck is located on the patio? Ya, it’s pretty much like heaven.

THE GRAND CANTINA

The Grand Cantina was the location that first upped Windsor’s margarita game and continue pumping our solid recipes. They also offer 25% house margaritas on Mondays, and that includes pitchers.

If you’re in Kingsville, Ontario, about 40 minute outside of Windsor, El Diablo is a popular Mexican restaurant that serves complimentary chips and salsa with every purchase of a pitcher of margarita.

ACAPULCO DELIGHT

Acapulco Delight is a well known hotspot for hungry post-bar guests. They continue that fun by offering up their margaritas in mini pitchers.

EL PATRON

Tecumseh’s El Patron is not only serving up Mexican cuisine that the locals are talking about, but their margaritas aren’t too shabby either.

As a result of the many migrant workers that come from Latin America to work in the farms and greenhouses, Leamington, Ontario, has some seriously good Mexican cuisine. Cancunsito is one of the newer (and more popular) restaurants.
