It’s week two of the Outdoor Food Hall in Windsor, Ontario, and we have some new vendors and fun up that we’re dishing out!

The Outdoor Food Hall presented by the St. Clair College Alumni turns Lanspeary Park’s outdoor rink into the city’s largest patio. It features multiple restaurants and chefs all on a single menu and it’s licensed to serve alcoholic, too! Since the rink has a massive canopy overtop, it also protects guests from the summer sun and any rain, offering an all-weather patio.

Here’s a look at the first set of vendors available from August 20-22, 2021:

MAKERS NIGHT MARKET

This Friday, August 20, YQGMADE is bringing twenty local vendors in a fully licensed outdoor plaza, next to the Outdoor Food Hall with the WindsorEats Traveller on-site serving locally brewed bevvies. Beverage sales will be cashless and available for purchase in the plaza by debit and credit.

So head to the Outdoor Food Hall and grab a table for dinner or order takeout and wander the market while enjoying a tasty libation and support local artisans!

Vendors will include Pawsitively A Dog Thing, Lavalux Jewelry, and many others.

RICO TACO

Rico Taco will be at the Outdoor Food Hall on Saturday and Sunday with a brand new menu. While Birria Tacos will not be available, they’ve created something new that the Birria lovers are sure to swoon over: Birria Burgers.

Ya, you read that right. It’ll be their Birria beef, on a burger, with the Birria sauce to dip the burgers into. I’m drooling just thinking about it.

SMOKIES BBQ

The bone-in rib sandwich from Smokies BBQ was a favourite during opening weekend of the Outdoor Food Hall, so much so that it sold out each night. You won’t have to worry about that this weekend as Smokies BBQ will now have 3 smokers on site tripling their rib production.

Smokies will also be featuring a couple new menu items. They’ll be on site Friday through Sunday.

ANTHONY DALUPAN

The people have spoken, and chef Anthony Dalupan is obliging. The former owner and chef of Three: A Tasting Bar (a popular downtown Windsor restaurant many moons ago) is coming back to the Outdoor Food Hall after rave reviews in 2020 and bringing some delicious Asian fusion cuisine with him.

The one we’re most excited about? The Kimchi Chicken Crunch. It’s pieces of fried chicken, kimchi and shredded cheese folded in a grilled tortilla shell, garnished with a sesame scallion aioli a side of pico de gallo.

Anthony will be on site Friday through Sunday.

SUNSET FLAVOURS

Did you know that Windsor has a Sri Lankan food truck? It’s true! They’ll be making their first appearance at the Outdoor Food Hall (only on Friday night) serving up Goat Curry Roti, Butter Chicken and their popular Chickpea Curry. We encourage you to come out in force and make their first time a hugely successful one.
