Wanting to support local restaurants by ordering takeout but also reduce the impact on landfills? There’s a map for that!

Local social activist, Philippa Von Ziegenweidt, has created an interactive map for those with a green conscience wanting to feel better about their impact on the environment while they enjoy takeout from local restaurants.

She has created an open-source map that showcases across Windsor, Ontario, and Essex County who have ditched styrofoam takeout packaging for cardboard. This means that if you know of restaurants that aren’t listed, anyone can add them to the map!

Philippa has kept the map open for anyone to add any restaurants who have ditched styrofoam and aren’t listed. As of this writing, there are 52 restaurants listed, including Toasty’s, Georgia Rae’s, Rock Bottom, Loose Goose, Chapter Two Brewing and others.
