The nationally acclaimed sausage maker, located in Walkerville, has released yet another new creation from his notorious sausage lab that pairs perfectly with a new breakfast bun from Blak’s Bakery made specifically for this sausage.
Let’s break it down.
The sausage itself is called, and a mimic of, The Monte Cristo. It’s a pork sausage made with maple infused bacon, smoked ham, maple syrup, buttermilk, and cheese and evokes the essence of every ones favourite decadent breakfast sandwich.
The dough for this special bun is made from the same recipe as their popular donuts. The inside of the bun has a cinnamon and brown sugar swirl and is generously brushed with egg wash.
Named The Brunch Sandwich, it’s a special collaboration with the legendary bakers from the over 100 year old Blak’s Bakery, who created a one-of-a-kind bun, to pair with Robbie’s new creation.
To complete ‘The Brunch Sandwich’, place the Monte Cristo sausage in the Breakfast bun, top with your favourite red pepper jelly, fresh strawberries, crunchy bacon and finish with finely chopped jalapenos. It’s a perfect balance of sweet and savoury.
The shop is open Saturdays 9:00am to 2:00pm and Sundays 9:00am to 12:00pm.
