Parks & Rec Gastropub and Sports Bar came out swinging this summer with a new chef and a new menu. Here are some of our favourite picks of deliciousness we thought you needed to try.
SWEET & STICKY CAULIFLOWER BITES
A vegetarian dish that would make anyone’s tummy happy. Fried cauliflower florets bathed in honey-soy and hoison with garlic, chili flakes, green onion and toasted cashews.
BARBEQUE PORK RIBS
BBQ ribs are always a messy and delicious treat. These pork back ribs are braised and grilled with a smoky BBQ sauce. It’s then accompanied with a roasted corn and red pepper salsa, French fries and coleslaw.
FISH & CHIPS
We’re always big fans of classic dishes done well. This beer battered halibut filet is served with coleslaw and a house-made tartar sauce.
FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH
This *crunch* sandwich *crunch* is *crunch* awesome. A house-made batter ensures optimal crunchiness for this chicken breast sandwich. It also includes Parks aioli, honey hot sauce, shredded iceberg lettuce and pickle on a toasted brioche bun.
BUFFALO PIG WINGS
Who knew it’d be a tasty time to be alive when pigs could fly? The Buffalo Pig Wings are dusted and deep-fried pork back ribs, served with a buffalo hot sauce and blue cheese dipping sauce.
BRAISED BEEF SHORT RIBS
Who doesn’t love some good beer-braised beef short ribs? The main is drizzled with a stout gravy and accompanied by a roasted leek mash and seasonal vegetables.
