With so many great things to eat and drink in and around Windsor, Ontario, there’s never a shortage of delicious things to crave. We recommend that you go dine out this weekend and try these 11 dishes. We promise you won’t be disappointed.
50 DAY AGED STEAK
This 24oz 50 day dry-aged beer ribeye is technically for two, but, with how good it tastes we won’t blame you for going solo on it. With the specialty of this dish, it does have a limited availability and might not always be available, but, when it is, make sure you pounce on it.
A tostada is currently on feature this week at F&B. It’s Ahi tuna, green papaya, avocado and salsa macha made into a beautifully presented and tasty dish.
The torta feature this week is at The Grand Cantina is The Cubano. It’s filled with roasted pork, ham, melted provolone cheese, pickles and Dijonaise.
CINNAMON ROLL PANCAKES
Sometimes there’s nothing better than eating in a good, old fashioned neighbourhood dinner. When they bust out cinnamon rolls bundled up into pancake format, that’s even better.
Located between Ford City and Walkerville, Chapter Two has rolled out a new Belgian Ale. Clocking in at 6.7 ABV and 22 IBU, it’s a delicious was to treat yourself to some “me time” over the holidays.
CHICKEN & WAFFLE SANDWICH
Chicken and waffles are always a great treat. When the waffles are the buns in a chicken sandwich, it makes it even greater.
The Italian Job burger was once a regular on the menu at Mamo Burger. It has made a comeback as this months feature burger. If you’ve been missing this beauty of a burger, time’s running out to grab it. It a single (or double) beef patty, two slices of mozzarella, basil mayo, arugula, tomato, pickled onions and fried Genoa salami.
The downtown craft sandwich shop, Bread Meats Bread, brought back their holiday favourite. It’s a Festivus for the rest of us!
We previously mentioned about Sprucewood Estate Shores releasing a new wine. Do we really need to give another reason?
This weekend, you should wrap your hands around these haddock tacos. They’re a seasoned fillet of white wine steamed haddock topped with Napa cabbage and drizzled with a house made dill sour cream sauce. Yummy!
