Here’s a great fusion for you. The 2019 Urban Wine Festival will be serving two unique beers on tap over the festival for those looking for something a wee bit different.

The beers will be served out of the cutest bar ever, The Traveller, with a different beer being showcased each night of the festival.

On Friday, June 28, the Urban Wine Festival will be serving up a Baco Saison from Craft Heads Brewing Company. The wine-beer hybrid will be the first of their “Wine Route” series of hybrid beers.

On Saturday, June 29, the Merlot #1 – Hefeweizen from Motor Craft Ales will be the feature brew. It’s brewed with a traditional German double decoction mash and fermented open top with a Bavarian yeast strain. It’s then blended with a Merlot. It gives flavours and aromas of bready wheat and banana esters with the juicy, fresh, dark fruit flavours of the Merlot.

The beers are in limited quantity. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

The 2019 Urban Wine Festival takes place June 28-29 at Lanspeary Park. We recommend getting your tickets in advance as capacity is limited.
