Local breweries are once again making a name for themselves and the Windsor, Ontario craft beer scene at the 2019 Candian Brewing Awards.

With submissions from breweries all over Canada and numerous beer submissions, these local Windsor craft beers were able to win over the judges and take on some national recognition.

Walkerville Brewery was the big local winner, taking home two medals. Their Waterfront Wit won the silver medal in the Wheat Beer – Belgian Style (Wit) category while their Geronimo IPA won a bronze in the English Style India Pale Ale category. Last year, Walkerville Brewery took home 3 medals.

“It’s humbling to be recognized on a National platform for our beers” commented Mike Brkovich, owner of Walkerville Brewery. “It confirms the level of talent and hard work from our team of brewers. Great to see our local breweries continue to put Windsor on the map
for award winning craft beers.”

Kingsville-based brewery, The Grove Brew House, also continued their strong display nationally with a bronze medal for the second year in a row for their Paradise Lager in the North American Style Premium Lager category.
