Point Pelee National Park is hosting Owl Prowls all weekend! The guided interpretations run four times from Friday through Sunday:

  • Friday, February 15 at 7:00pm
  • Saturday, February 16 at 7:00pm and 9:00pm
  • Sunday, February 17 at 7:00pm

Space is limited so pre-registration is required. There is no extra cost to participate as it is included in admission to the park.

 

MUSIC TO YOUR EARS

Enjoy the brilliance of the Windsor Symphony Orchestra as a family. For the first time on the Toldo Pops series, piano virtuoso Daniel Wnukowski performs the brilliantly jazzy Piano Concerto in F by Gershwin.

Vocalist-extraordinaire, Shahida Nurullah, will also join the WSO on the Capitol Theatre stage to perform several jazz-inspired vocal works.

The concert takes place on Saturday, February 16 at 8:00pm and Sunday, February 17 at 2:30pm.

“What’s the Poot Route,” you ask? It’s the path we take on the Dirty Poutine Tour. You’ll learn some neat Canadian history and taking in some beautiful street art on our way to devour 4 (four!!!) different takes on poutine.

The tour is all ages and takes place on Saturday, February 16, at 4:30pm. We warn you: wear stretchy pants!

SKATE WHAT YOUR MAMMA GAVE YA

Enjoy a free family skate at the Capri Pizzeria Recreation Complex on Saturday!

Hit the ice between 4:30pm and 6:30pm and enjoy complimentary refreshments of pizza, desserts and coffee. You’ll even receive a free raffle ticket for attending!

GET YOUR FREE CULTURE AND HERITAGE

On Saturday, February 16, Museum Windsor is celebrating Family Heritage Day with free admission to both the Chimczuk Museum and François Baby House. Visitors will have a chance to explore two new exhibits: Questers Collect and Egypt: Gift of the Nile, which is travelling from the Royal Ontario Museum.

If you’re heading to the Chimczuk Museum (for free), we recommend you pay the small entrance and enjoy the Art Gallery of Windsor.

Not only is the AGW providing free (with admission) guided tours through the exhibits on Saturday and Sunday from 2:00pm to 3:00pm, they also host Family Fun in the Studio on Sundays.

Between 1:00pm and 4:00pm, join AGW’s signature family-friendly program with local artist-led workshops and participate in a hands-on fun and creation related to the current exhibitions. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
