Valentine’s Day is here and there’s lots going on in Windsor and Essex County to show love. Still looking for ideas? We’ve rounded up a few options to help you celebrate the day and the one you love.
KOMA RESTAURANT
KOMA, located in South Windsor, is offering a 3-course dinner, sampling flavours from sweet to spicy and the many shades in between. The tasting dinner $85 per person.
MI CASITA
Can’t make it out on Valentine’s Day? Don’t worry, Mi Casita is having their Valentine’s event on February 16. They’ll also be offering Bachata classes, a DJ and their kitchen will be open late.
THYME KITCHEN
Vegan or not, this 5 course meal from Thyme Kitchen is something you will not want to miss. Vegan ceviche, vegetable terrine, king mushroom “scallops”, goat cheese and beet ravioli and a chocolate lava cake with avocado ice cream to end it all.
Tara Watts will be signing her heart out, a glass of bubbly to start the night and they even have a small gift for you at the end. Seating is extremely limited so reservations are a must.
THE GROVE BREW HOUSE
We’ve already talked about how amazing the Valentines deal is at The Grove Brew House is…but it’s worth mentioning again. Each couple will receive a choice from a prix-fixe 3-course menu for a total of $110. It even includes your first glass of beer, wine or bubbly.
Also, bump up the romanticity levels to 100 by staying the night at their boutique hotel, The Grove Hotel.
BEACON ALE HOUSE
Beacon Ale House in Amherstburg is offering two great, 3-course prix-fixe menus. The first menu is $50 per person and entirely vegan. It offers choices like beet tartare, vegan crab cakes and vegan triple chocolate mousse cake.
The second menu is $60 per person and has choices like roasted bone marrow and NY steak.
Both menus come with a glass of North 42 Degrees Estate Winery‘s sparkling Sauvignon Blanc for each guest. Reservations are recommended.
MOTOR BURGER
For all those Van Halen lovers out there, this one’s for you. We ain’t talkin’ ’bout love, but about some great beer and burgers. Motor Burger is celebrating VH-ale-N-dine’s Day by adding the sounds of Van Halen all night long.
RINO’S KITCHEN
Enjoy a cozy and intimate atmosphere paired with farm-to-table home-style food. Seatings are at 5:00pm, 7:00pm and 9:00pm and alongside the regular menu Rino’s Kitchen will also be featuring the following:
- Prosciutto-wrapped balasamic asparagus
- Spinach & arugula salad with strawberry, pine nuts, red onion & honey Dijon dressing
- Mussels in a white wine cream with mushroom and spinach
- Steak tip gnocchi with mushroom & onion in a garlic blush sauce with goat cheese
- Cheese ravioli with roasted red peppers, spinach & shrimp in a pesto cream
- Roasted Portobello mushroom & quinoa with pomegranate, caramelized onion, peppers & fig
- Chocolate avocado mousse
ARCATA PIZZERIA
Nothing says love like a heart shaped pizza? Am I right? Arcata Pizzeria is serving up love in pizza form.
MEZZO RISTORANTE
Mezzo‘s has two amazing 4-course options to dine from. Their Sweetheart menu is $60 per person and includes choices like manicotti and pollo funghi. Their $80 per person Champagne menu offers up selections like stuffed salmon or Pollo Mezzo.

MARCO’S PIZZERIA & ITALIAN FAMILY EATERY
Enjoy a three course menu for two for only $49.99 at Marco’s Pizzeria & Italian Family Eatery. Receive a choice of one appetizer, two entrees and one dessert.
SOUQ
A three course meal for $84.99 per couple at Souq includes Lamb Ouzi or Salmon for your main course. The restaurant is also offering up a “buy one get one” with their kufta dinner entrees until February 19.
CARROTS N DATES
Love a vegan? Head to Carrots n Dates who are serving up two great dine-in options and one amazing take out.
Option 1 is dinner for two for $85 per couple which includes two main bowls, dessert and a bottle of wine. Option 2 is $35 per person and includes a half salad, a main bowl and a glass of wine.
Option 3 (take out) is $75 per couple and includes two main bowls, a bottle of house kombucha, handmade chocolate, a slice of cheesecake, chocolate dipped strawberries and a bottle of Carrots ‘N Dates’ Pad Thai sauce.
FRANK BREWING CO.
That heart shaped pizza still on your mind? Here’s some more pizza for you. Head to Frank Brewing Co. for two pizzas, two beers and a cheesecake for $40.
CRAFT HEADS BREWING CO.
While we’re on the topic of beer, maybe you want to bring your beer-loving loved one out for a post dinner drink. Craft Heads Brewing Co. is serving up Hibisc-Kiss: a Gose brewed with hibiscus petals and sea salt.
RIVERSIDE PIE CAFE
Prefer a romantic dinner at home? Riverside Pie Cafe is offering up two 5″ pot pies, two soups and two slices of pie for only $25. You need to pop-in between 3:00pm and 6:00pm to take advantage of this deal.
SUSHI BAR
If your love making has built up an appetite, Sushi Bar has an $85 per couple special that includes two all-you-can-eat meals, a bottle of wine and dessert.
TIKI SUSHI
Keeping on the topic of sushi, Tiki Sushi isn’t doing anything and that’s how owner Ted loves it. It’ll be two buck shuck all night long, just like always!
