Well it’s almost here! St. Patrick’s Day is tomorrow! If you’re looking for something delicious to add to the dinner table here are few recipes we always add to our Irish feast.

Irish Soda Bread

It’s hard to resist a warm slice of bread, fresh out of the oven. I used to be intimidated by the thought of baking bread but this recipe for Irish Soda Bread is so easy, your friends will think you’re a bread baking master.  My sister, who lives in Ireland, has been baking soda bread for years and tuned me on to this simple recipe.

Irish Colcannon

Irish colcannon makes a great side dish, not only on St. Patrick’s day but anytime of the year. Try it using different greens like spinach, swiss chard or even cabbage. Definitely one of my favourite dishes. Butter and potatoes? Yes please!

Brown Bread and Irish Whiskey Ice Cream

This has got to be one of our all time favourite desserts. I make this ice cream every year and it’s always a hit. I mean, come on. How do you say no to toasted, buttery, cinnamony bread folded into creamy vanilla ice cream flavoured with Irish Whiskey? You don’t.  You just eat it and savour every bite.
