Owners of 255 Ouellette, Mark Boscariol and Eric Donoso today announced the closure of Buda Cafe, and the expansion of Chanoso’s Restaurant. Scheduled for completion at month end, the former restaurant’s space with be renovated to accommodate the area’s growing meetings, special occasions and events market. Ideal for seminars, receptions and private functions, the space will be equipped with a 12 foot screen, a sound system and audio visual equipment.

Incorporating Buda Cafe favourites and bringing new experiences and tastes to the Chanoso’s menu is Chef Jennifer Hillis. A creative culinarian, Chef Hillis is known for her unique and intricate dishes that utilize fresh, seasonal ingredients to combine taste, colour and flavour with texture and visual appeal.

“We’re excited about our new growth and the opportunities they present,” said Mark Boscariol, co-owner, 255 Ouellette. “The additional space bodes well for overflow ,and more importantly it can be used to support the community in which we live.”

And doing just that, 255 Ouellette hosts the Windsor International Film Festival’s inaugural Oscar Night Party fundraiser on Sunday, February 28 at 7:00 pm. Take in the red carpet previews and Academy Awards presentations; enjoy fun, games, movie munchies and more. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at the door.

Established in 2002, 255 Ouellette incorporates Chanoso’s Restaurant, Oishii Sushi Lounge and The Room. 255 Ouellette offers on- and off-site catering and banqueting services with four facilities that comfortably configure to accommodate between 25 and 174 people. The Group has also recently expanded to include the operation and management of the Tecumseh Roadhouse located on County Road 42 in Tecumseh.
