After realizing there was not one piece of edible food in the fridge, Jill and I hopped on over to Taloola Cafe for some lunch. We shared an absolutely delicious Mediterranean salad that was made with cherry tomatoes, cucumber, chick peas, red onion, feta and beet. It came in a nice little design with oil and red wine vinegar for the dressing. It was so tasty Jill and I literally devoured it in seconds. I think we were subconsciously racing each other so we could have more of the salad than the other.

For my personal dish, I ordered the Antipasto Party grilled panini. I chose to have it on the whole wheat panini, but, you have your option of having it on white, whole wheat, multi grain or 100% rye. For a small extra fee you can also have it made on a sprout grain tortilla.

Jill ordered the Grilled Cheese sandwich. Being a self professed connoisseur of cheese sandwiches of the grilled variety, she is always hesitant about  ordering them from a restaurant for the first time. Needless to say she raved about it the entire day. Made to perfection.

If you’re in the Walkerville area, head on over to Taloola Cafe. The neighbourhood is beautiful, the cafe the same and the food is excellent.
