There will be lots of Mexican cuisine to dig into during Windsor’s Biggest Cinco de May Party. Just for the weekend, Rico Taco will be bringing back their carnitas tacos and their much loved elotes. Those will be in addition to their regular menu items like the birria tacos, fish tacos and more.

“What are elotes” you ask? Also known as Mexican street corn, elotes are corn cobs smothered with mayonnaise, queso fresco, tajin.

The Frylicious food truck will also be getting in on the fun serving up traditional Milanese sandwiches, tortas, and bandarillas which, simply put, are Mexican corn dogs.

To top it all off, if you’re looking for a quick snack or something to share, WindsorEats will also be serving nachos.

WILL THERE BE MARGARITAS?

Duh! You can’t visit the WindsorEats Food Hall or celebrate Cinco de Mayo without margaritas! We’ll have 4 different types of margaritas available. If you can’t decide which one, you can also get all four in a flight!

The bar will be serving our refreshing palomas, margarita flights, and more!

HOW ABOUT BEER?

If beer is more your thing, Rose City Beer Works is brewing us two exclusive beers for the festivities: a cerveza and a margarita inspired beer.  These beers will be in addition to our usual and unique Ontario craft beer selection.

WILL THERE BE MUSIC?

Of course! You can’t have a party without great music. Here’s how the entertainment will be over the weekend:

  • Friday, May 3
    • 7pm to 10pm: Sabor Latino Band
  • Saturday, May 4
    • 2pm – 5pm : Julian Rodriguez
    • 7pm – 1030pm: Grupo Diamante Latin band
  • Sunday, May 5
    • 1pm – 3pm: Transeo
    • 4pm – 8pm: Sabor Latino Band

ARE YOU EXPECTING IT TO BE BUSY?

Yes. Very! Last year for Cinco de Mayo we had a lineup before we even opened the doors. We anticipate the same this year. As always, we don’t take reservations.

WILL YOU STILL HAVE A HAPPY HOUR ON THE FRIDAY?

Yep! If you come between 5pm and 7pm, our Happy Hour specials are still being offered. That means $4 off margaritas, $2 off beers, and $3 off cocktail flights.
