10 years after the original Free For All Walls festival transformed the area in and around Maiden Lane in Downtown Windsor, it’s making a return even bigger and better than the inaugural festival.

Artist Daniel Bombardier, also known as Denial, will be hosting the mural festival, Free For All Walls, from October 3-10, 2023. He’ll be inviting dozens of his artist friends from across North America to create murals throughout the City of Windsor.

WindsorEats is super excited to play host as the festival HQ and will be opening our doors to the public for each day of the festival.

WindsorEats is located at 400 Erie Street East in Windsor, Ontario’s Little Italy. The area completely surrounding our space will come to life as artists descend on it to paint large scale murals within the complex of buildings located within the historic McDougall Street Corridor.

The public is invited to come watch the artists live as they make the walls come to life.

On Saturday, October 7, the festival culminates with an all day free celebration of arts and culture.

Starting at 2pm on the Saturday, come and watch as the majority of the murals come to completion. Denial will be hosting his popular Part Art Part Party events with live art battles pitting artists against once another.

DJ’s will be playing throughout the day, with DJ Double A hitting the stage at 10pm.

There will also be plenty of art exhibitors and prizes to enjoy, and maybe even a bit of interactivity to show off and nurture your own artistic side.

WindsorEats will also be offering our Windsor Graffiti Scooter Tour each day of the festival. The tours usually just run every Saturday.

Zip around Windsor on an official Bird Canada electric scooter, rolling through streets and alleys to see the many visually stunning ways artists, both local and internationally renowned, have used the urban landscape as their canvas.

This tour will take you to some of Windsor’s best photo spots and ensure you get the perfect pic. It’s a great way to explore the city for both tourists and locals alike and you’ll be able to leave with great shots that will give all your friends FOMO.

The 12 kilometre route takes you to see well over 20 murals and takes you through one of the city’s most fabled alleys, highlights a side of Windsor many may have never seen before.

Throughout this tour, WindsorEats’ guide will also:

  • Scoot you through Windsor, stopping at picture-perfect locations along the way.
  • Have you see how graffiti and street art is transforming neighbourhoods in Windsor, Ontario.
