With the arrival of June comes the unofficial start of the summer and festival season in Windsor, Ontario.

There are so many things happening this weekend that we wanted to compile a list of 7 of the things we’re most excited about. Here we go!

You can’t kick off June and festival season in the city without Art in the Park. Coming off their record breaking year last June, this year is certain to smash it with the gorgeous weather that’s forecast.

Held in the historic Willistead Park the first full weekend in June of each year, Art in the Park is one of Ontario’s largest outdoor arts and crafts shows, with exhibitors from all over Ontario and Quebec.

Cost is $8 at the door and it runs Saturday, June 3, 2023, from 10am to 7pm and Sunday, June 4 from 10am to 5pm.

It’s A Birthday bonanza!

WindsorEats is hosting a week of birthday celebrations! Starting on Thursday, June 1, we’ll be celebrating WindsorEats turning the legal drinking age in Ontario!

Then, on Friday, June 2, the celebrations continue with a special cocktail menu, trivia, and a Friday Night Lights bike ride.

Saturday, June 3, is when the party really begins. First, we’ll be celebrating Adriano’s dog and unofficial WindsorEats mascot, Zoey, with her Sweet 16th birthday party from 12pm to 3pm. During this time there will be dog treats and “doggy beer” available to purchase, as well as a professional photographer there to take photos of you and your fur babies.

Also legit sharing his birthday with his dog is WindsorEats’ own Adriano. Like, for realsies. He’ll be on site working because he’s a small business owner and that’s what happens. Finally, on June 3 starting at 6pm and going well into the night, we’ll also be celebrating the birthday of our fellow food loving friend, Jen Brignall-Strong of Tailgate Takeout. The avid taco and margarita enthusiast wants everyone to join her in celebrating her special day on one of her favourite patios in YQG (aww we’re touched.)

At 8pm Saturday, the popular Windsor band, Bigg Wiggle, hits the stage to get everyone dancing.
