Who would have thought that by eating a great burger you’d be helping support your community?
As part of the Burger It Forward campaign being run across the country by Canada Beef, by ordering WindsorEats’ Burger Verde you’ll be donating a meal to those in need. For every campaign burger purchased (in the entire national campaign), Canada Beef will donate the equivalent of 1 meal to Food Banks Canada (up to a maximum of 20,000 meals, based on Food Banks Canada’s meal metric: $1 = 2 meals).
Burger It Forward runs for the entire month of February.
WindsorEats has built a reputation for creating fun, unique, high-quality events and that’s not spilling over to the food being created at their 400 Erie Street East location in Windsor’s Little Italy. As part of a national campaign called ‘Burger It Forward’, Beef Farmers of Ontario are also helping to ‘beef up’ regional food banks by donating ground beef supply to food banks across Ontario through the Feed Ontario network.
INTRODUCING THE ‘BURGER VERDE’
The Burger Verde from WindsorEats, the only local establishment participating in this campaign, has been a hit since it was launched.
The masterpiece that is the Burger Verde features not one, not two, but three beef patties stacked high for maximum flavour and satisfaction. But that’s not all that makes this burger stand out.
We’ve added a touch of heat with slices of jalapeno Havarti cheese, perfectly melted to add a kick to every bite. To balance out the heat, we’ve included house pickled red onions and cucumbers for a nice, cool crunch. And of course, no burger is complete without fresh tomatoes and a bed of arugula for a touch of green.
But the real star of the show is our signature Green Sauce. Made in-house, this sauce brings a unique and addictive flavour to the burger. And to hold it all together, we’ve nestled the burger in a freshly baked ciabatta bun from Italia Bakery, adding a touch of bread with a crispy crust and soft, chewy interior.
This is a great way for customers to enjoy a delicious meal while making a positive impact in the community. Your taste buds will thank you and so will those in need. It’s a win-win situation for everyone involved!
The Burger Verde will be available at WindsorEats from Thursdays to Saturdays, as Sundays menu converts to an all-day brunch. The burger will also be available on Skip the Dishes.
It will also be available during our Valentine’s Day Pop Up Bar from February 9th-14th, 2023.
