Learn to be the sushi master of your own domain in a class that will give you a hands on approach to learning the art and craft of rolling sushi.

During the 2.5 hour class, you will learn the principles and techniques that go into making sushi. Chef Frank Hasiak of Salt Sushi will share his 20+ years of sushi making experience in a fun and interactive environment.

Throughout the class you will enjoy each of the four rolls you make, as well as indulge in other dishes from Salt Sushi.

During the class you’ll:

  • Receive 1 beverage of choice and appetizers upon arrival
  • Learn to make (and eat) a minimum of 4 rolls
  • Get to keep your sushi mat

With Robbie’s Gourmet Sausage Company announcing he’ll be closing at the end of December, these classes become even more special.

As part of the WindsorEats Be A Maker Series, join renowned sausage maker, Robbie Bornais of Robbie’s Gourmet Sausage Company, in an evening of learning, eating and fun. The sausage master himself will teach you all of his tips and tricks he developed on his way to becoming one of Canada’s best sausage makers so you can make them just like he does in your own home.

In the class, you will learn the scientific principles that go into making sausages. From choosing your preferred meat, to binding, preparing your casings and figuring out the perfect ratio of spices. You will mix, stuff and tie your own links, all under Robbie’s guidance.

At the end of the class you will be able to take home 2lbs of the sausages you made so you can share with your family and friends. A complete step-by-step write up of all the techniques discussed, as well as as a master sausage recipe, will also be included.

Dive Bar Tour Of Detroit

These wildly popular tours throw you onto a magical school bus (complete with karaoke) and swings you through 3 of the Motor City’s grungiest, diviest watering holes to imbibe.

The WindsorEats D-Tour, (get it? detour, because it strays from our regular tours in Windsor?) will allow easy access for you to visit some iconic local hangouts in Detroit without the need to drive, allowing you time to simply focus on just having a good time.

Tickets to the WindsorEats D-Tour quickly!  The tour will start at 6:30pm and bring you back to Windsor at approximately 11pm. When guests return, they’ll be dropped back off at WindsorEats where drinks and food will still be served up.

Guests must be 21 and over to attend and have a valid passport. The D-Tour does not include beverages or food in the ticket price. We recommend bringing cash in US currency.

Please note that the United States requires full vaccination to enter so be ready to show proof of vaccination if requested.

Masters of the Brewniverse

If the person you’re buying for is a craft beer lover who loves trying new brews, then this is the perfect gift for them.

The one-day event, called Masters of the Brewniverse, is a celebration and friendly competition of one-off beers that are exclusive to the event, giving breweries the opportunity to showcase their creativity and win bragging rights. There will be two awards handed out: People’s Choice and the Master of the Brewniverse which will be decided by a panel of judges.

In 2022, the winner of the People’s Choice Award was Chapter Two Brewing for their Malibu Barbie, a coconut, guava milkshake IPA. The Master of the Brewniverse championship belt was awarded to the collab between Beerded Dog and Jake’s Brew for their Vanilla Ice Ice Latte, an oatmeal stout with vanilla, coffee.

Masters of the Brewniverse takes place on Saturday, April 29, 2023. There will be two sessions throughout the day. Session One will take place from 12:00pm to 4:00pm and Session Two will run 6:00pm to 10:00pm.  The winners will be announced at Session Two.
