After a successful launch this year, the Masters of the Brewniverse event hosted by WindsorEats is coming back in 2023.
If you love trying new, creative craft beers before anyone else, you’re going to love the Masters of the Brewniverse competition.
The one-day event, called Masters of the Brewniverse, is a celebration and friendly competition of one-off beers that are exclusive to the event, giving breweries the opportunity to showcase their creativity and win bragging rights. There will be two awards handed out: People’s Choice and the Master of the Brewniverse which will be decided by a panel of judges.
In 2022, the winner of the People’s Choice Award was Chapter Two Brewing for their Malibu Barbie, a coconut, guava milkshake IPA. The Master of the Brewniverse championship belt was awarded to the collab between Beerded Dog and Jake’s Brew for their Vanilla Ice Ice Latte, an oatmeal stout with vanilla, coffee.

WHEN DOES IT TAKE PLACE?

Session 1: 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Session 2: 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
WHAT’S SO SPECIAL ABOUT THIS EVENT?

There will be two awards handed out: Master of the Brewniverse which will be decided by a panel of judges and a People’s Choice where you have the power.
In 2022, the event launched with 20 exclusive beers from breweries such as GL Heritage, The Grove Brewing Company, Walkerville Brewery, Chapter Two Brewing Company, Craft Heads Brewing Company, and more. They all competed to see who would take home the title of Master of the Brewniverse.
The nature of the event means that beers will be limited, so it’s a unique opportunity for craft beer lovers to get away from the same old and try something truly different. However, not only are the beers in limited quantity, so are the tickets.
WHEN WILL THE EVENT TAKE PLACE?
Taking place on Saturday, April 29, 2023, there will be two sessions throughout the day. Session One will take place from 12:00pm to 4:00pm and Session Two will run 6:00pm to 10:00pm. The winners will be announced at Session Two.
The aim of the event is to be a fun competition to showcase the creativity of your brewers and potentially form a camaraderie and do our part in strengthening the craft beer industry through potential partnerships and collaborations.
SO HOW DO YOU GET YOUR TICKETS?
Tickets are available online in the WindsorEats shop.
First, due to the limited nature of the tickets, we recommend getting yours ASAP in our online shop. Session One tickets are $47 and Session Two tickets are $50. Each ticket includes 16 samples (5oz. each). That’s 80oz of beer for an event themed after an 80’s cartoon. It just seems appropriate to also be cranking the best hits from the 80’s throughout the event.
80’s themed attire is welcome and encouraged, so tease that hair and bust out the shoulder pads.
