Fabulous secret powers were revealed to Masters of the Brewniverse attendees as brewers held aloft their magic brews and said, “By the power of beer! We have the power!”
WindsorEats introduced a new beer event, Masters of the Brewniverse, to Windsor, Ontario, that showcased exclusive one-off beers in a competition that gave attendees the opportunity to vote for their favourite.
People came in their best 80’s attire to this unique event which pitted 8 local brewers in a fierce battle to be named Master of the Brewniverse:
- GL Heritage Brewing Co.,
- The Grove Brewing Company,
- Walkerville Brewery
- Chapter Two Brewing Company,
- Banded Goose Brewing
- Top Dog Brewing Co.
- Craft Heads Brewing Company
- The Beerded Dog/Jakes Brew Windsor
People’s Choice Award
The people have spoken. Congratulations to the People’s Choice Award winner:
- Chapter Two Brewing for their Malibu Barbie, a coconut, guava milkshake IPA.
Masters of the Brewniverse Award
A panel of judges that decided the Master of the Brewniverse included Dan MacDonald of AM800, Corey Ladouceur of Essex Golf and Country Club, Chef Anthony Dalupan, Aislyn, Pina Ciotoli of WindsorEats, and Aislinn Henrickson, distiller at Wolfhead Distillery.
Congratulations to the Masters of the Brewniverse Award winner:
- Beerded Dog/Jake’s Brew for their Vanilla Ice Ice Latte, an oatmeal stout with vanilla, coffee and a little dance mix
If you enjoyed the beers at the event, or weren’t able to attend and want to give them a try, don’t worry! We got you! Starting June 16, 2022 we’ll be offering them at WindsorEats, 400 Erie Street East, Suite 3. If you feel it’ll complete your life, we recommend heading over on Thursday evening as we have limited supply.
Also, many people have asked if our Masters of the Brewniverse tasting glasses are available for sale. The answer is YES! They’ll be for sale in the retail corner of our space.
Lastly, thank you to everyone who attended. This event was originally supposed to happen in April, 2020 and well….we all know how that went down. It was great to be back hosting an event in our own space and we truly appreciate you coming out and supporting it. The energy and vibe was electric! We’re looking forward to Masters of the Brewniverse in 2023!
