After serving Greek cuisine to the City of Windsor for over 40 years, this restaurant owner decided to enjoy retirement and shut the doors.

Nick Pontikis, owner of Thanasi’s Greek Restaurant, has sold his restaurant after 41 years. The restaurant will be closing their doors in May 2022, after which it will be converted into a restaurant serving Indian cuisine.

The owner planned to retire last year, but, didn’t want COVID-19 to be seen as the reason, since the restaurant is currently busier than it ever has been. Nick urges those with gift certificates to use them up before the restaurant closes for good.

To Nick, his family, and his staff who are family to him, we wish you all the best in your retirement!
