Not everything happening during the COVID-19 crisis is bad news.

North 42 Degrees Estate Winery announced the hiring of a new executive chef who has worked in some of the country’s great kitchens.

Chef Cameron MacDonald is a local boy who’s returned to his roots, bringing with him the skills and knowledge he’s gained working in the Niagara Region over the past 15 years.

Cameron is making his way over from Tide and Vine, which was named a Top 100 restaurant in Canada by Open Table. His farm-to-fork experience as the Estate Chef at Pearl Morissette Estate Winery included taking care of the animals and tending the produce garden.

He’s appeared on Chopped Canada, has taught at the Humber College culinary program and loves to cook from scratch.

We’re so excited for North 42 and can’t wait to see what’s in store as the winery restaurant, Bistro 42, prepares to reopen in the next several days with a brand new take out menu.
