There are five new porters being released by two local breweries that will help keep your belly full and your insides warm and fuzzy over the holidays.
Walkerville Brewery is releasing their holiday seasonal for 2019: the Chocolate Ruby Porter. It will be available to the public starting Friday, November 29 at 5:00pm as part of Walkerville Brewery’s Holiday Extravaganza. The Chocolate Ruby Porter will be available exclusively at the brewery in their limited edition 500ml bottles and 2L growlers, as well as on tap.
Sandwich Brewing Company is also releasing a porter on Friday, as part of a 4 series porter launch. Every Friday leading up to Christmas, the brewery is taking their beloved South of the Border Porter and infusing it with some holiday fun in some very, very limited releases in their taproom.
The first release is on Friday, November 29 and will be a Chocolate Chipotle Porter. The following week on December 6, they’ll launch the Salted Caramel Porter. On December 13, you can visit and try their Orange Chocolate Porter. Then, finally, on December 20, a Rum Barrel Vanilla Porter will be released.
