There will be several award-winning beers available to please your palate at the 2019 Windsor Craft Beer Festival, taking place October 18-19.

While there will be many more medal winners (and non-medal winners) available to sample, here are 6 that you should add to your must-try list.

CREAM ALE
Anderson Craft Ales

Cream Ale is a pre-prohibition style originally created as the ale-brewer’s response to American style lagers in order to compete with the growing taste for beers with light, refreshing character.

Anderson Craft Ales’ Cream Ale is brewed in the traditional style to create a golden coloured ale with a clean, refreshing taste and a crisp dry finish.

A gold medal winner at the 2018 Canadian Brewing Awards.

WESTCOTT CREAM ALE
The Grove Brew House

This medium-bodied, smooth, and tamed Cream Ale makes for a solid entry-level craft beer while satisfying those with experience.

A gold medal winner at the 2019 Canadian Brewing Awards.

ZAP! SOUR IPA
Nickel Brook Brewing Co.

An electrifying combo of two favourite styles, ZAP! blends the punchy hop notes of an IPA with the sharp tang of a Sour, making this brew the best of both worlds. Pouring an enticing hue of sunlight, ZAP! hits the nose with notes of citrus, tangy tangerine, and light floral overtones. Take a sip and be struck by a lemon zing, quickly followed by juicy hop goodness and a touch of pine.

A silver medal winner at the 2019 Canadian Brewing Awards.

GERONIMO IPA
Walkerville Brewery

This coarsely filtered India Pale Ale is loaded with grapefruit, orange peel and piney aromas from several kilos of different American hops. The pronounced bitterness hits the palate first and is delicately balanced with international specialty malts.

A bronze medal winner at the 2019 Canadian Brewing Awards.

DOC PERDUE’S BOBCAT
Cowbell Brewing Co.

West Coast American Pale Ales and IPAs have inspired Doc Perdue’s Bobcat: a West Coast Red Ale . Hops are loaded from top to bottom in this ruby red beer showing off aromatic pine, zest, fresh citrus and tropical fruit. The body is smooth and gently bitter, while the hop aromas are bright and vibrant.

A silver medal winner at the 2019 Canadian Brewing Awards.

RASPBERRY UBER SOUR BERLINER WEISSE
Nickel Brook Brewing Co.

A light and colourful Sour Wheat Beer with a delicious fruity twist on a traditional Berliner style Weisse. Raspberry Uber is tart and refreshingly sour on the palate. It explodes with Raspberry flavour and aroma, and pours bright red with a thin pink head. This light-bodied ale has grainy wheat and earthy notes that lead to a refreshing crisp finish.

A silver medal winner at the 2019 Canadian Brewing Awards.
