WHISKYTOWN FESTIVAL
August 10

If you love whisky, you don’t want to miss out on the Whiskytown Festival. There will be over 50 different whiskies available to try, including hard to find selections like the Canadian Club 41 Year Old. In fact, we’ve even been able to secure the last bottles of the Woodford Reserve Cherry Wood Smoked Bourbon currently available in Ontario.

There will also be whisky-based cocktails and an exclusive whisky infused imperial stout available from The Grove Brew House.

Tickets are $30 and include 5 tokens. It’s a small, boutique festival so we recommend purchasing your tickets ASAP.

 

PRIDE FEST
August 10-11

A fun event for all, Windsor’s Pride Fest will fill Lanspeary Park and Ottawa Street with activity.

A marketplace is being held at Lanspeary Park on both August 10-11 with over 35 merchant booths full of unique products, food and beverage sold by individual vendors. A kids zone play area featuring a craft area, arts tent, inflatable bouncy castle, golf and face painting will also be offered in addition to live entertainment.

The “Queens Of Pride” takes place in the park on August 11.It’s a fantastic ensemble featuring Ru Paul’s Drag Race headliners Morgan McMichaels from Season 2 and All Stars Season 3 and Darienne Lake of Season 6.

Celebrating its 27th year, the annual Pride Parade will be held on Sunday, August 11 at 11:00am beginning at Ottawa Street and Argyle Road, proceeding down Ottawa Street to Lanspeary Park near Langlois Avenue.

ST. ANGELA MERICI FESTIVAL
August 10-11

You may think of it as solely a religious festival, but, it’s so much more. Just the experience of witnessing an old world procession down the street, carrying a statue, will give you the feeling of being in a small, Italian village. Throw in traditional Italian cuisine cooked up by the Nonna’s themselves, a Scoppa (Italian cards game) and street soccer tournament and more, it really makes the festival more than just about the church and enjoyable for everyone.

 

MOONLIGHT PADDLE
August 15

Meet at Point Pelee’s famous Marsh Boardwalk for 8:30pm for a serene experience.

Enjoy a warm summer evening under the light of the moon on a moonlight paddle through the marsh. Bring your own canoe or kayak, rent a canoe from the Friends of Point Pelee or reserve a spot on the freighter canoe.

Pre-registration is required.

To reserve a spot on the freighter canoe, call the park at 519-322-2365 ext 0. Space is limited, register early. Freighter canoe fee: $14.60/per person plus admission.

Before summer ends, enjoy the backyard and patio at Rino’s Kitchen with their popular Vegan BBQ. Reservations are strongly encouraged as their vegan nights have sold out in the past.
