IPA fans get ready. Chapter Two Brewing Company is releasing another edition of their GNIPA this weekend.

GNIPA is an IPA that was brewed with Greg Gnyp, he of 93.9 The River radio. It all started last year when Greg swung by the brewery and mentioned that he was an IPAA fan. It also just happens that when you take his name and modify it a little bit, you wind up a G n’ IPA.

Once the idea was born, Greg wanted the beer to raise some money for charity. Last year, the 2018 GNIPA proceeds went to the Canadian Mental Health Association. This year, the beneficiary is the Windsor Essex Humane Society.

Now, don’t think Greg just lends his name to the project and sits back solely to enjoy the final brew. He actually gets down and dirty in the brewery and helps make the beer. That’s what makes the beer extra Gnyppy.

A short story long, the 2019 edition of the GNIPA is just going to be a little bit of a hybrid. It’ll have the hot flavour and characteristics of these more traditional, newer New England-style IPA’s, but a little bit more of a better character like a West Coast IPAA.

The release takes place Saturday, August 3, 2019, starting at 8:00pm at Chapter Two Brewing Company.
